Current Insurance Network Status:

We are currently in the process of credentialing with Medicare and all Oregon Health Plan (OHP) providers. We are unable to bill these insurers until credentialing is complete. If you contact us, we are happy to let you know as soon as we are in network with these providers.

Insurance & Payment Information

Who We Work With

Sono Audiology will work with Medicare Part B (traditional Medicare) and most Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) plans, once our credentialing is complete. Please have your insurance information available when you schedule your appointment. Note: not all services provided by Sono are covered by Medicare and Oregon Health Plan. You will be given a price quote before your appointment. We offer a sliding price scale for non-covered services for Oregon Health Plan patients.

Everyone Else

If you have a different insurance plan, we are not currently contracted with your insurer, but we make it easy for you to file your own claim. After your visit, we give you everything you need: your diagnosis (ICD-10) codes, procedure (CPT) codes, and full documentation of your appointment. You submit these to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

HSA/FSA (Health Saving & Flexible Spending Accounts)

Our services and products should be HSA- and FSA-eligible. We only provide care and products that are medically necessary for you, and we always give you the documentation your HSA or FSA requires.

Why So Few Insurers?

We know that working with only a few insurers is inconvenient, and for some patients it is a real burden. Here is the honest reasoning behind it. Some insurers pay so little that we could not keep the practice running on their rates. Others have rules that would keep us from providing the best possible care. A few will only work with audiologists inside their own hospital systems. And as an independent practice working to keep patient costs down, the truth is that dealing with insurance companies takes significant time and money - which pulls us away from what we do best: caring for patients.

If Sono's pricing does not fit your budget, we understand, and we are glad to help you find a local provider who takes your insurance.
